Hi there, I'm Tanya! Thank you for stopping by! Here's a little more info on my love for photography.

I absolutely love what I do and know I was born to be behind the camera. Photography to me is like telling stories through photographs....and I love being a storyteller!!! Photography is capturing those moments in life where you'll look back and smile and maybe even cry a little, no matter what the emotions were at the time being they were frozen in time. Each photo is special for its very own reason and each reason is special to the individual that cherishes it. My heart is put into all my work and when I am given a chance to photo shoot your amazing celebration or moment in time, I give my undivided attention and concentration to making sure that each and every heartfelt moment is captured by the click and shutter of my camera. I not only will make a photographic copy of the image but I will also make a photographic copy of the emotions being felt in each and every photo that passes through my lens. Photography is like capturing the soul and raw emotion from life...as it is happening.

So besides the fact that you know I love photography let me tell you a little more about myself...

I am a small town girl that grew up west of San Antonio and East of not to far from the border. Not a lot of people know where Hondo is and if they do they always ask some kind of question about John Wayne and the movie Hondo. I kind of give them a blank stare and that pretty much kills that topic quick, lol.

Things I enjoy:

  • I love the outdoors and country scenery.
  • The color red.
  • Make-up.
  • Pickle raspas with green chamoy.
  • Music from Otis Redding to Heart to Randy Rogers to Lucha Villa and many many others.
  • Seafood.
  • I am a night owl.
  • Running.
  • Horror movies...and cheesy romance movies.
  • Wine.
  • The Hill country.
  • Long drives.
  • Unplanned trips.
  • Dancing.
  • Meeting new people.
  • Tattoos.
  • Coffee.
  • Cold winter nights with bonfires.
  • Traveling.
  • Reading.

And many other things...these are just a few to name.

I love life and I think my brain is like a computer because how I see and view the world I can't explain it. It's all up there in my head so with my camera I am able to show that to others on how I view people and the world. Photography isn't just a job or a hobby...its a passion and a way of living. Every photo session I do I learn something new and I take a piece of it into my life and I am forever blessed for that.

I think I've rambled on and on a little to much but now you know who the girl is behind the camera and who you'll first meet or talk to on the phone over a consultation or the person that is emailing you back. I love all my clients and I am extremely thankful for my returning clients over the years of photographing. I also look forward to the many I've yet to meet.

God Bless!
